| Cartier MustLe Must In 1972, after Louis Cartier's death, a group of investors took over the company. Alain Perrin was CEO.
The company was financially and artistically stagnant at that time, without Louis Cartier's artistic genius. Only after the take over, it regained the lost ground. Perrin, a former antique dealer, turned the company around. By developing the "Le Must" line, as well as creating new versions of classic such as the Santos , Perrin managed to re-establish Cartier as an innovative and fashionable watchmaker. Further Reading
