| Admiral's Cup Automatic ChronographAdmiral’s Cup automatic chronograph This model, in addition to the characteristics of the standard automatic model, features chronograph functions thanks to the sweep seconds in the centre and subdials for 30-minute, 60-second and 12-hour counters at 9, 3 and 6 o’clock respectively. The colourful nautical pennants are also arranged around the twelve-sided rotating notched bezel with a graduated scale of 360. The glareproof sapphire crystal covers both the dial and bezel, rotating with the latter – an exclusive Corum feature.
The black lacquered or creamy-white dial with date window at 6 o’clock features reference points that can be used when sailing to seek the most favourable angle in relation to wind direction in order to reach the targeted buoy. The open case back is protected by a transparent sapphire crystal revealing the decorative patterns on the oscillating weight of the automatic movement: a sailboat engraved in the background, with colourful nautical pennants indicating the numbers of the year the watch was produced. The outside links of the steel or gold bracelet echo the line of the case lugs shaped like a centre-board, while the inner links pick up the “ship’s railing” decorative pattern of the watch profile. Its adjustable double fastening system with personalised Admiral’s Cup cover is fitted with an exclusive Corum safety clasp. On steel models, the wristband comes in a choice of steel, steel and rubber or rubber and high-tech fabric. Gold models are teamed with either a gold –link bracelet or black crocodile leather strap. The Admiral’s Cup chronograph exists in two sizes: larger and mid-size. The mid-size model is distinguished from its larger counterpart by a quartz chronograph movement and full caseback, which features the same decorations as those on the oscillating weight of the automatic model. Its bezel is fixed and the dial does not carry the angle points of reference.
