Rado CeramicaRado Ceramica When designer Werner Scholpp began the first sketches for a new Rado at the beginning of the 90's, it was clear to him right from the start that he did not want to simply develop a watch and a bracelet, but that case and bracelet should form a homogenous whole, an integrated unity.The result was the Rado 'Ceramica', a bracelet transformed into a watch. A watch whose bracelet – the same width all the way round – gives it an incomparable character. So it is not surprising that the 'Ceramica' has had a considerable influence on the Rado brand image and that its clear-lined design has been distinguished by numerous awards.
Apart from its distinctive form, the 'Ceramica' captivates with its ageless material. As the name suggests, it is made from spaceflight-proven high-tech ceramics. This material not only fulfils the demands of the legendary Rado scratchproofness, it makes the watch a joy to wear with its skin-friendliness and wearer-comfort. The latter is additionally increased by the light anatomical shaping of the watch: it moulds itself around the wrist like a second skin. Case back and folding clasp are made from skin-friendly titanium. The 'Ceramica' is available in three sizes and in different dial variations: whether purely reduced to two beautifully shaped metal hands or with hour markings or even diamonds, every version of the 'Ceramica' is enchanting and loses nothing of the striking restraint of the watch. Alongside the classical design-colour black, the 'Ceramica' is also available in elegant platinum look. And for those who shun ostentation but want more from a watch than the time of day, the 'Ceramica' is also available with a multifunction movement: easy manipulation of the crown accesses seven additional functions including alarm, second time zone and date.
