Zenith Collections
The Zenith brand first appeared back in 1911,
after the retirement of the founder-until then the company had been known as "Establissements
George Favre-Jacot"-and was derived from one of the many prize winning watches
developed by the company.
It is in the nearly 1600 observatory prize medals
awarded to the brand that are the key to Zenith's reputation, including gold
medals at the 1900 World's Fair in Paris and the 1929 Barcelona World's Fair.
The 1960 were probably the golden era for Zenith, starting with the introduction
of the famed calibre 5011 pocketwatch/chronometer movement, one of the most
consistently accurate movements ever designed.
